Compound Shapes
Compound shapes in GCSE Maths are shapes made up of two or more simple shapes, such as rectangles, triangles, and circles. To find the area of a compound shape, it can be divided into simpler shapes whose areas can be calculated separately, and then added together. Compound shapes can also be used to develop problem-solving skills and to apply mathematical concepts in real-world situations.
