Quadratic Formula
In GCSE Maths, the quadratic formula, x = (-b ± √(b² – 4ac)) / (2a), is a tool used to solve quadratic equations in the form ax² + bx + c = 0. It provides the solutions for ‘x’ by considering the coefficients ‘a’, ‘b’, and ‘c’. This formula is particularly useful when factoring or completing the square is not a straightforward method for solving quadratic equations.
