Parallel and Perpendicular Lines
Parallel and perpendicular lines in GCSE Maths are fundamental concepts in geometry and involve the relationship between two or more lines. Parallel lines have the same gradient and never meet, while perpendicular lines have negative reciprocal gradients and intersect at a right angle. Students are expected to use these concepts to identify parallel and perpendicular lines, calculate equations and angles of lines, and solve problems related to geometric shapes and constructions.
After watching the AJMaths revision videos on Parallel and Perpendicular Lines I will be able to:
- Find Examples of Parallel Lines
- Find Examples of Perpendicular Lines
- Show That Two Lines are Parallel
- Show That Two Lines are Perpendicular
- Answer Exam Style Questions on Parallel and Perpendicular Lines for GCSE Maths
