Edexcel A Level Further Mathematics - Further Mechanics 2
Circular Motion
In Further Mechanics 1, we start by looking at momentum and impulse. Momentum measures the “quantity of motion” an object has, while impulse links force and time to describe how momentum changes during interactions like collisions.
After watching the AJMaths revision videos on Dynamics I will be able to:
- Solve Problems for Angular Speed
- Solve Problems for the Acceleration of an Object Moving on a Horizontal Circular Path
- Solve Problems for Objects Moving in Horizontal Circles
- Solve Problems for Objects Moving in Vertical Circles
- Solve Problems for Objects Not Constrained on a Circular Path
- Answer Exam Questions on Circular Motion for Further Mechanics 2
Angular Speed
In this video we will take a look at how to solve problems for motion in a straight line with variable force.
Acceleration of an Object Moving on a Horizontal Circular Path
In this video we will introduce the universal constant of gravitation and look at how to solve problems around Newton’s Law of Gravitation.
Three-Dimensional Problems With Objects Moving in Horizontal Circles
In this video we will take a look at simple harmonic motion.
Objects Moving in Vertical Circles
In this video we will take a look at how we can solve problems for objects moving in vertical circles.
Objects Not Constrained on a Circular Path
In this video we will take a look at situations where objects are not constrained on a circular path.
Exam Revision for Circular Motion
In this video we will take a look at exam revision for Circular Motion by answering some exam style questions.
